Diagnostic Imaging

Radiography

X-rays are one of the most useful and valuable tools in veterinary medicine. They are used for assessing your pet’s internal organs and bones and play a vital role in a multitude of different diagnosis.

Here at Fox Veterinary Clinic, we have a state-of-the-art digital x-ray which delivers crystal clear images in minutes. This allows us to identify broken bones, bladder stones or even foreign bodies in the gastrointestinal tract. We have also seen a wide range of different objects that our curious furry friends have eaten!

Ultrasonography

This is another useful and valuable tool used commonly in diagnosing pregnancies and monitoring the progression of the pregnancy. It also allows us to look at internal organs in more details and aid in diagnosis of numerous of issues such as pyometra (infection in the uterus), tumours or other masses in the abdomen to name just a few things. It plays an important role in giving us the opportunity to look at the heart’s valves in detail to ensure they are functioning properly.

Here at Fox Veterinary Clinic we are very lucky to have a portable ultrasound machine meaning when appropriate when can perform an ultrasound in the consult room.
